Lilith considered what he was saying. Though at the same time could not shake the fact he kept calling them demons. Given the history he now provided she knew why. But the question of whether to inform him of the exact truth still lingered. For now she pushed it to the back of her mind and instead tried to focus on his points. She hadn’t noticed it before now so she did wonder of his theory. If he was right she ought to start training right away, so she would be safe. But then her whole life would be about fighting, and she didn’t like the idea of that. Not one bit.
If she trained and he was wrong then she’ll only have wasted time. Or if he was really wrong THAT would attract the hollows, and she would then be in the same position he was seemingly in. And that would ultimately be the worst case scenario. Of course dying because he was right and she decided not to train was hardly optimal either, but at least that wouldn’t have quite the irony in it, and that was assuming the same thing happened again. Even for as long as she was a fighter before, clusters of hollows like that were rare unless there was a pack leader. And something like that would lock onto powerful spiritual pressures, not someone weak like her.
“For now I would like to wait. My powers are still just returning. As you saw I am barely able to use a single ability without tiring myself out. Using two just now. I feel exhausted in more ways than I knew I could feel. Perhaps I will take you up on that offer. But for now, I would just like to get used to all of this again.” She explained. Letting the last word slip out accidently. She certainly had no intention of going There with anyone. Not for a long time. He seemed to be leaving her now, after all she was alright, there was little point for someone as obviously energetic as him to stay around. She rose herself, still a little shakily but she managed.
“I work at the café down wickham street. Come visit me sometime.” She called after him. Immediately have second thoughts about the training. But she turned and began walking anyway. She would survive. Of course she would. On the off-chance that anything did happen, she would be seeing him again soon anyway. Until then she had a lot to think about. Perhaps this towns spiritually-powerful people were more frequent that her last home. She might have to be more cautious when it came to hollows. She was also both secret excited and nervous about meeting a shinigami.
