I am confused by this extract
"Power Points can also be traded in at a 10:1 ratio for an extra ability, identical to those gained every four ranks."
Is this to say every power gained now requires the cost of 10 point. i.e. kido spells, or just abilities directly related to a fullbring, in my case.
Given my specific fullbring i am also slightly confused as to where the 'line' would be between what would be defined as a fullbring ability and a seperate advent power.

OK. Basically you have fullbring upgrades every four ranks. They allow you to expand the scope and use of your fullbring, whereas buying powers are separate. If you wanted an extra fullbring upgrade, you would need to place 10 power points into it. Its 10 because gaining something that powerful early should cost a lot. Does that make more sense? It only applies to gaining another upgrade like the one you get normally every 4 ranks. *I.E. shinigami shikai upgrade, Quincy weapon form, etc*
EDIT: as for your second question, your fullbring should be the basis of all your powers, something that is the base for everything else. Then advent powers are unique uses of your fullbring. For you, your fullbring allows you to use water and ice, at its base. Fullbring upgrades might include armor or weapons on your form that are made of ice, perhaps at high levels you can even transform into an ice eagle like your manifestation. It should also expand the scope of what your fullbring is capable of as you upgrade it. Advent powers work from that. Like you could make a power that lets you shoot icicles, or a water blast, based on the fact that your fullbring allows you to manipulate those elements.

"For a thread to be considered complete and ready for a rank up it needs to range at about 3000 words - 4000 words per thread"
So if a thread is 12,000 words long, is it 3 or 4?
Or am i right in assuming that it's dependent on the quality?
In the instance were something is 15,000 words, it could be worth any where from 3-5 threads. I would i also be generally correct in assuming i just go ahead a put it down for 4?
Mainly I had assumed to use 4k words. If on the final subtraction it came to 3k or more to accept that also. But then I'd rather learn as to what you guys had in mind, to save myself from guessing wrongly and further embarrassing myself.

It all depends on the quality of those posts. If the quality isn't that good than 4k words will be counted. If each post is really good then 3k but more likely your example would be counted as 4 for average posts.

So the inevitable question that follows is, who decides what quality of your posts is?
You and Shunzu, or does it vary thread to thread?

Whichever staff member looks at it, generally. As for what to put down, if I were you I would put down what I was expecting from the thread. So if you were confident in your posts, then 15,000 could be worth 5 threads, so ask for 5 threads worth. It its not good enough we will just tell you so.
