Tokuro Shimizu
Name: Shimizu, Tokuro[/b]: Gozenhyou (Morning Sunshine)

Appearance:
Tokuro is a very handsome 'young' man. He appears to be 16, but in fact is 22. His face is that of a man who some would rather call 'baby-faced'. His body is very athletic, mainly due to him being a high school athlete in his previous life. Tokuro's legs are his strongest point, but his hands are his best tools. He possesses a six-pack, like you would expect from an athlete.
Now, Tokuro's outfit is quite usual. He wears the typical shinigami uniform, which consists of black robes and a white belt. However, Tokuro decided to customize it a little bit. He swapped out the white belt for a red one, and he also wears a red headband around his forehead. His zanpaktou is tied around the waist, like you would expect one to be carried.
History:
Tokuro led a normal life when he was alive. He went to school like anyone else, and had friends and family like anyone else. This all changed one day however, as he was making his way home from school. A car hit him as he was crossing the road. He wandered as a Plus for a couple of days when eventually a strange person dressed in black performed a ritual which sent him to soul society. For some reasons, others wasted no time and he was enrolled in the Shinigami Academy. Here, he trained for 6 years and emerged as a full-fledged shinigami, ready for duty.
Over the past year Tokuro hadn't really had done anything. It was more just wandering about, waiting for important calls to come in. The problem was that whenever one did come in, a stronger shinigami would take it, and leave him waiting again. This would make Tokuro furious. Eventually, out of having nothing to do, Tokuro's imagination would take over, imagining all sorts of horrible, gory things. This twisted Tokuro's mind into one of a bloodthirsty maniac. It wasn't permanent though, and would only turn on whenever Tokuro saw the blood of an opponent.
Taking pride in his abilities Tokuro would waste no time being modest, but he wouldn't brag either. Other shinigami would insult his abilities due to him not having done any important missions, which usually ended up Tokuro getting into a fight with said person. When Tokuro fought, he usually did it to the death. He thought that mercy is for the weak, and survival of the fittest is the right way to think about things.
The other side of Tokuro is completely different. This was the side that his family knew, and that his friends knew. The side that was caring, loving and always there to lend a helping hand. Eventually, this side intensified, especially once he started going to the shinigami academy. Tokuro know has gotten rid of his elitist/bloodthirsty side, and can control it as he wishes.

Zanpakutou
Appearance: The unreleased Zanpakutou looks like a normal katana, with the exception of it having a red blade.
The handle of the zanpakutou is a pattern of alternating black + white strips. In the middle, where the strips would meet there are small red circles. This pattern carries on right up to the guard.
Manifestation:
The spirit of Tokuro's zanpakutou manifests itself as a flaming lion spirit. The lion usually sticks close by Tokuro's side, and seems to be rather protective of Tokuro. You could say that the lion is the aggressive side of Tokuro, fueling his will to fight and be victorious. However, the lion is also a symbol of honour, and as such keeps Tokuro from going over the top and killing someone needlessly.
