Minato stands at the height of 6'1", and weighs 167 lbs. Minato has naturally blue short hair that often slightly obscures his right eye. Minato often carries a tired sort of look in his light blue eyes, as if had just woke up, and as such, his rather dismal appearance betrays his actual personality. Minato almost always carries headphones with him, and if they are not in his ears, are hanging from his neck.
Minato often wears clothes of depressive colors, namely grey or black, his most common outfit being a pea coat. Minato has a rather thin build, with somewhat pale skin.

Personality:
Minato is a quiet, somewhat withdrawn individual, though that is not to say he has no social skills and is without friends. However, in a contrast compared to his earlier life, Minato prefers to stand in the background and out of attention, to the point he could almost be considered shy. Despite this, however, Minato is quite confident in conversations and with his actions. He is, however, more relaxed and open while around those he is familiar with.
Minato is generally, despite appearances, a cheerful person. In the few activities he takes part in, he proves himself to be outgoing, and a general nice guy to have around.
Minato believes heavily in the cause of good, and, despite his earlier mentioned withdrawn traits, cannot stand by and watch injustice happen. This has often gotten Minato into trouble, as he may very well charge straight into what he believes is a conflict. While a relatively intelligent person, this is a fatal flaw in his common sense, as, despite what hidden danger there could be, Minato completely disregards these possibilities in his attempts to be a white knight. Related to this is his utter hatred of Hollows, to the point he will attack one at the mere sight of it.
Ever since his parent's deaths, Minato has become very interested the occult, and such themes as death and the self. Therefore, Minato is almost somewhat of a philosophical person, with his ideas and beliefs not exactly conforming to society's norms. Despite his great belief in good, he does not view the world in black and white, and is always willing to attempt to understand something, despite its outward appearance.
Something very important to Minato is music, which he utterly loves. There are very few genres of music that Minato dislikes, and he is always listening to something when he can. This is why he is almost never seen without his MP3 player and headphones. Minato has always loved music, even before the death of his parents, with his MP3 being one of his most treasured gifts from his parents.
History:
Minato was born to an upper middle class couple as an only child. Living a somewhat privileged life, living in the outskirts of the city, with no siblings to compete with and never having to suffer due to lack of money, and quickly became popular once he entered school, Minato was innocent to the concept of suffering. Minato, did, however, have the rare ability to see the spirits of the dead, though he himself did not often realize that certain things he saw were ghosts, and the importance of such an ability. All in all though, Minato had a calm and relatively peaceful childhood. That, however, would quickly change when he was 10 years old.
Coming home from a movie one night, Minato was completely unprepared for the following events. Whilst driving through the woods back to their home, the family stumbled onto a fierce battle between two supernatural beings, which Minato would later learn to be a Shinigami and a Hollow. This battle was to end with both of Minato's parents dying, with Minato himself being severely injured, with his dimming sight being turned on the Shinigami and the Hollow, before darkness took his vision.
Minato awoke in a hospital, where he would be informed of his parents death, much to his grief. Completely unprepared for such a tragedy, Minato was utterly devastated by this loss, and swiftly fell into a deep depression. Furthermore, he had to abandon his home to move to his uncle's (His mother's brother) in another, smaller town, leaving his entire life behind him. For him, the old Minato was completely dead, as an entirely different person was born that night.
Minato no longer was the center of the crowd, tending to stick to the background once he was enrolled in his new school. His previous interests in such things as sports and clubs was replaced by an interest in the occult, and Minato became somewhat of a loner, separating himself from his classmates. It was also shortly after he arrived in his new home Minato began to feel strange. He heard voices whispering from the corners of his mind, and he felt as if he were being watched. He chose to ignore these, however, despite that they would plague him for years. Minato reached his lowest point when he was 14, as he had virtually isolated himself from everyone else, and devoted himself to searching into the super natural. It was this year, however, that Minato's life would once again be changed.
One day, coming home from school, Minato was not greeted by the usual presence of his uncle. Instead, only darkness and silence. Venturing into the quiet house, Minato was confronted by a nightmare straight from his past. His uncle, dead on the floor of the living room, with a creature with an uncanny resemblance to one of the beings that had been involved with that fight 4 years ago.
The monster mocked him, while Minato stood, frozen in place by both fear and rage. However, deep inside Minato, power stirred. The voices spoke to him, louder now. Consumed by hatred and instinct, Minato let loose his power, and fought against the unsuspecting Hollow, and destroyed it.
In the aftermath of the battle, and the police and emergency services arriving at the house, Minato came to a resolution. There were obviously more creatures like this in the world, and they would continue to inflict horrors on people just as they had on him. Minato swore that day that, with his newly discovered powers, he would dedicate himself to finding and killing all of these creatures he could.
Afterwards, Minato was once again moved to another town, this time to a private school where he could stay. In the following years, Minato would slowly improve his social life, opening up to people, and would get a more positive outlook on life. As well, Minato began to train his capabilities, spending years practicing, before, when 17, he began to search for those creatures he despised so much. It didn't take long before he stumbled on one of these and assaulted it, and, after a long battle, destroyed it, much to his satisfaction. He would continue to find the monsters every now and then, and after some time, began to find out a little about the nature of Hollows and Shinigami, though less so about the latter.
Finally, at the age of 18, he graduated high school. Deciding not to rush directly into college. Maintaining a job working at a music store, Minato moved into an apartment complex on his own. For now, he intends to find out more about the Hollows, all the while training to become stronger.

The roar of Thanatos bursts forth from the MP3 Player, creating a wave of darkness that radiates out from Minato in a full circle with a range of up to 5 meters, and a diameter of 10 meters. Rudo of Formido is strong enough to hurl those hit by it back 8 meters, while inducing harm from both the wave and any possible impact.
Use Conditions:
Minato can only bring Thanatos forward at night, never during the day, no matter how dark it is. Minato summons Thanatos via saying the particular name of the ability he wants to use.
Restrictions:
Only Minato can use Thanatos.

Atrum Orbis/Dark Orb

Description:
Minato's most basic power and commonly used power, Atrum Orbis is a small ball of darkness that gathers in one of Minato's open palms, taking about 5 seconds, that he can then launch at a chosen target. While not the most deadly power around, it is still capable of inducing harm.
Restrictions: Atrum Orbis requires a source of darkness, such as a plentiful amount of shadow, near Minato for him to draw from to create the orb. Can be used by any beings with darkness powers of at least Specialist level.
Domesticus of Nox Noctis/Dome of Night

Description:
The Domesticus of Nox Noctis power allows Minato to a dome made out of pure darkness. Obviously, this power is capable of reducing the enemy's visibility, especially if caught within the dome, though Minato suffers from such effects as well. Minato is also capable of drawing from the Domesticus of Nox Noctis to use his Atrum Orbis power. The Domesticus of Nox Noctis stays in effect for 6 posts. It currently has a radius of 5 meters. For every rank, the radius is increased by 5.
Restrictions: Can only be used twice per thread. Only a darkness-user of Master level can use this power.
